International

The ENAC University is part of the aeronautical world which is, by nature, international. ENAC is  a provider of high quality education and hence, its students  are able to access professional careers, which are necessarily associated with international activities.
The ENAC University was founded in 1949. Since then, ENAC has made international cooperation and exchange one of its primary missions. More than 60 years later, ENAC can pride itself on its 12,000 international alumni and former trainees from nearly 100 countries, on 5 continents !
Today, 30% of the 2,000 students and nearly  20% of the trainees attending ENAC are from abroad, with some 50 countries represented each year.
The ENAC’s international influence is real and exceptional.
This international scope remains of course more than ever a primary concern.

Clearly identified development directions

The ENAC’s new international development efforts are organized around 4 topics :

  • making its students internationally mobile,
  • welcoming students, trainees and international researchers from abroad,
  • contributing to the development and international influence of French and European organizations and firms,
  • meeting the need, at the international level, for ab-initio and advanced training of the civil aviation staff.

L'international

Engineering skills

ENAC responds to the needs of the civil aviation departments, of  air navigation service suppliers, of airports and airlines world-wide, offering specially tailored programmes in research and engineering.

Working alongside the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC/Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile) and the European industry, ENAC is participating in several major international projects

Extensive international cooperation

Since its creation in 1949, the ENAC university has been creating and developing  numerous and close working relationships with international partners. Its partners are institutes, private organizations, universities or professionals.
Therefore ENAC has today a wide area network of international partners.

The ENAC university is a founding member of PEGASUS (Partnership of a European Group of Aeronautics and Space Universities), which is a European group of the  major French “Grandes Écoles” and universities involved in aeronautics and aerospace.
Alongside ENSMA, ISAE and AIRBUS, ENAC is deeply involved in China through the creation of an aeronautical engineering institute in Tianjin, offering 3 “Mastère Spécialisé” Degree programmes at the city’s civil aviation university.

ENAC is also quite involved in the training programmes related to the setting up of the “Single European Sky “ within the framework of the SESAR project,  and in particular, of the FABEC /Functionnal Airspace Block Europe Central, which gathers airspaces of central Europe.

Today, ENAC belongs to the network of the aviation safety training centres within the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization).
