Satellite-based Communication, Navigation & Surveillance

ATM - CNS Workshop (1/2)

Objectives

Cover both the institutional and technical strategic aspects of current and future CNS concept in ATM Domain. The course will start by discussing the development of the current C.N.S direction, mainly in Europe and particular in France, and how they are being implemented today. The course then continues by examining in-depth, each of the three strategies (Com, Nav, Sur) which all project about the year 2020. The courses will consider the Single European Sky ATM Research programme and look at its phases and deliveries. As the SESAR definition phase progresses, the course will discuss C.N.S alignment towards the ATM Master Plan. The major of formation day is dedicated to the Stakeholder who is invited to give their views on those three domains' plans. Highly intensive short course on the ATM issues including both technical and operational aspects. Practical applications but sufficient supporting theory is provided to give the basics and the necessary theoretical tools for meaningful research and development work in the field. The practical application is materialized by some demonstrations on A.T.C Simulator/ Educational Device or technical & researchdemonstrations, settled in ENAC or in DTI/R&D.
