Air Transport Emissions Inventory

Objectives

The main objective is to provide a guideline for the development of stocks of the major emission sources at airports (aircraft and airport vehicles); in order to quantify the environmental effect of such emissions, and to assess the progresses developed to comply with the agreements signed by the different countries.

Educational content

Study of the basics of the climate change and the aviation effects in it, as well as an analysis of the policies and international development programs (UN, ICAO, European Union) for mitigating such effect.

Study of the basics of air quality and aviation effects in it, as well as an analysis of the policies and international programs for mitigating such effect

Study of the regulations, methods and different agreement requirements, directives, and international (UN and Europe) and national (Spain) resolutions corresponding to the emission stock.

Development of the air transportation emission stock, both those proceeding from aircraft and those from airport vehicles. For that purpose, four phases will be followed :

Phase 1: Data identification and choice of method

Phase 2: Data collection and analysis

Phase 3: Development of calculus method

Phase 4: Presentation of results

Basics and national and international policies (UN, ICAO, European Union) of aviation effects on the climate change.

Study of the regulations and methods relative to the emission stock.

Development of aircraft and handling vehicles emission stock
